Overview:
Provide project engineering expertise and supervise Laticrete and contractor personnel in the analysis, specification, design, construction and start-up of new and improved production processes, equipment, facilities and support systems. Provide supervision for all Project Engineering personnel. Primary focus will be on domestic operations with international support provided as needed.

Essential Job Functions &
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the analysis, specification, design, construction, and start-up of new and improved production processes, equipment, facilities and support systems.
2. Develop and maintain long range Capital Plan and prepare financial capital appropriation requests. Track all costs associated with these Capital projects and also Expense projects when appropriate.
3. Supervisory responsibilities for Project Engineering personnel including recruiting, hiring, training, work performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions per company policy.
4. Investigate and define equipment and facility project opportunities for Laticrete. Prepare justifications and present opportunities to Management.
5. Make recommendations on preventative and predictive maintenance programs to assure equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
6. Insure the accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, invoices, cost and expenditure accounting and track data and other financial records for all Engineering activities.
7. Support the utilization of continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
8. Assist EH&S focus by assuring new equipment and facilities comply with all local, state and federal government regulations.
9. Develop and ensure there are adequate safety procedures relating to any new equipment installations or facility modifications that occur.
10. Be alert to changes in the manufacturing process and/or new equipment that may trigger new or additional permitting requirements and/or notice requirements and ensure that the appropriate steps are taken to maintain compliance.

Job Specifications/Skills:
1. Minimum of 10 (ten) years of experience in the engineering design, specification, acquisition, installation and start-up of new and improved manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities; at least 5 years in a process industry.
2. Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations and assure new equipment and facilities are in compliance.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and identify and implement solutions.
4. Very organized in scheduling and executing responsibilities and prioritizing in a multitask environment.
5. Effective supervisory and team building skills in the coordination of cross functional teams.
6. Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies with experience in implementing improvements in a manufacturing environment.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Computer skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and project management software; working knowledge of Microsoft Projects a plus.
9. Team cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers and vendors.
10. Physical ability to lift and/or carry minimum of 25 pounds.
11. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, i.e. Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical
12. 40% travel both domestic and international.
13. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
