Overview:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Financial Analysis, this position is responsible for all accounting functions related to inventory, product costing and manufacturing variance analysis.
Essential Job Functions &
Responsibilities:
1. Product Costing - Responsible for standard cost updates including review of BOM and time studies, impact of inbound and transfer freight and setting of direct labor and overhead rates. Prepare monthly raw material cost reports.
2. Monitor unit cost variances versus budget. Analyze cost data and prepare related cost reports as requested by management.
3. Inventory Accounting - Manage cycle counting program for all U.S. locations including review for an investigation of large variances. Responsible for tracking offsite inventory. Print all month end inventory reports and reconcile to the general ledger. Assist plant locations with inventory adjustment entries. Prepare monthly inventory turns report. Monitor inventory levels for negative quantities and errors.
4. Analyze inventory reports for slow moving items. Work with Operations and Marketing to minimize. Manage reserve for slow moving/obsolete/unsalable inventory.
5. Analyze all manufacturing and purchase price variance accounts monthly. Prepare monthly analysis of PPV. Review month end manufacturing variance and plant department expense summary reports for large or unusual items.
6. Participate in all New Product Development meetings and prepare cost estimates for new products and product changes.
7. Month End closing in 3 business days related to operations accounting. Make re-class entries and standard monthly journal entries. Assist department managers with accounting inquiries.
8. Support Operations with annual budget preparation. This includes a full budgeted cost roll.
9. Work with marketing to assess new product development costing and identify any abandoned products where inventory reserves are needed.
10. Work with process engineers to support process improvement at plants regarding cost justification through the manufacturing feasibility studies.
11. Assist with annual external, bank and tax audits as needed.

Job Specifications/Skills:
1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Cost Accounting with hands on knowledge in standard costing, preferably in the chemical industry.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience with manufacturing processes and ERP information systems, preferably with JE Edwards E1.
3. Must be well organized, detail oriented and have excellent analytical skills
4. Strong verbal and writing skills.
5. Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
6. Bending and reaching to file. Infrequent ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
7. Team Cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.
8. Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
9. Up to 10% travel required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
