Traffic Administrator

Overview:
Laticrete International currently seeks a Traffic Administrator to provide administrative support for the daily operations of the Traffic department.
Responsibilities:
Organize, distribute and control the order of all traffic operations paper work (e.g. customer orders, order confirmation and shipping documents).
Monitor that all orders are picked and staged accurately and in a timely manner to meet trucking schedules for deliveries to customers.
Plan schedules in support of shipping orders to meet customer ship dates.
Insure that all the required documentation and
computer
entries are completed accurately in accordance with all company policies to meet shipping schedules.
Coordinate with trucking companies to schedule shipments and trucking activity in support of delivery and receipt schedules in an efficient, timely and cost efficient manner.
Coordinate with other operational groups, internal and external customers, to insure the accuracy and timeliness of shipments, material receipts, and other traffic activities.
Identify and implement process and methods improvements that increase the efficiency and contribution of the Traffic administrative role.
Check all completed shipping orders for accuracy and completion per procedures.
Know where all materials are stored in the warehouse and production areas.
Complies with all OSHA and Hazardous Material regulations pertaining to forklift truck operation and HazMat loading.
Required:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a traffic department.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in working with logistic carriers.
Computer: intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Outlook, shipping management and JD Edwards or similar software systems.
Skilled in the implementation of efficient Traffic activities and daily operations.
Effective written, oral, interpersonal, and communication skills in a customer service environment.
Effective team working skills.
Very organized in scheduling and coordinating work assignments.
Physical ability to lift, move and/or carry minimum of 50 lbs.
Team cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.
High School diploma
5% Travel
Preferred:
Ability to operate tow motor preferred.
