POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Maintenance Technician is responsible for equipment installation, start-up and maintenance of plant equipment.
This role will work closely under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and/or senior team member(s).
This is an entry-level role that will be responsible for learning the maintenance processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary.
Preventative Maintenance (40%) Assist in performing routine tasks such as greasing bearings, changing belts, changing oil, etc.
to maintain equipment reliability.
Be part of the team that controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Equipment Repair (30%) Assists in installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
Assists in dismantling machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Optimize use of maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies needed to repair equipment to OEM standards.
Assists in repairing facility and building items as needed.
Equipment Troubleshooting (5%) Assists in identifying electrical, mechanical and pneumatic problems on production machinery and facility equipment.
Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in operation.
Utilize tools to isolate malfunctioning equipment (ex.
Multimeter, tachometer, callipers, etc.
) Training and Development (20%) Rotate/spend time in various role within the plant to better understand how each department works.
This will include areas like Production, Warehouse, QC, etc.
Complete various projects as they relate to maintenance of machinery and/or facilities.
Study machinery manuals Administrative (5%) Log all work performed into the Company CMMS.
Complete end of shift reports communicating between maintenance and production departments.
Order replacement parts for stock or parts for repair.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade school with a focus on maintenance or a related field strongly preferred.
0-3 years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Specialized Skills and
Experience:
Microsoft Office knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams Able to read and interpret directions and order details.
Able to communicate both in writing and verbally.
Spanish Speaking a plus.
Travel Requirement:
Occasional travel as required.
Physical Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment physical.
Lift:
Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
Push/Pull:
Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds.
Stand:
Must be able to stand 80% - 85% of the day.
Sitting:
Must be able to sit 25% of the day.
Twisting/Bending:
Must be able to twist/bend 75% of the day.
Squatting, Climbing and/or Crawling:
Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 25% of the day.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
