Quality Control Technician

Overview:
Perform routine Quality Control tests on all raw materials, incoming components, and manufactured LATICRETE products.
The employee in this position may receive general day to day supervision from a Lead Quality Control Technician or Team Leader-Quality Control.
Essential Job Functions &
Responsibilities:
1. Become familiar with the work instructions, procedures, and instrumentation referenced in the LATICRETE Quality Control Manual.
2. File all the Quality Control test data and raw material certificates of analysis or compliance and enter pertinent information into the computer database.
3. Maintain the Quality Control computer back-up system.
4. Get product Q.C. samples from production and maintain a storage system for retained samples.
5. Maintain absolute security over any formulas or technical information by locking them in the file at night, on weekends, or when otherwise not in use. Insure that only authorized personnel have access to any formulas or technical information.
6. Maintain a close working relationship with production personnel to provide a smooth, efficient production flow of quality products.
7. Maintain clean, efficient, and properly operating equipment and laboratory environment. Insure all instruments used in product quality testing meet calibration requirements listed in the calibration work instructions.
8. Complete and distribute all forms in accordance with the work instructions in the Q.C. Manual.
9. Advise Manager or Production Chemist of persistent or difficult Quality problems.
Job Specifications/Skills:
1. Demonstrable aptitude for mathematics and science.
2. Familiarity with computer data entry desirable.
3. Ability to lift/move heavy boxes - approximately 50 pounds.
4. Methodical.
5. Meticulous.
6. Good oral communicator.
7. Observant and questioning.
8. Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
9. Team Cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative, professional attitude with all LATICRETE employees and all customers.
10. High School Diploma.
11. Up to 5% travel may be required

1. Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
